The Space Squeeze is Real
You've got one gym. Two cafeterias worth of students. A gymnasium that serves double duty—and then some. Your multipurpose room is working triple time, and your schedule is a Tetris game that keeps getting harder.
The Tuesday Dilemma
Tuesday morning: Assembly in the gym. 9 AM sharp. 500 students in the bleachers.
Tuesday afternoon: Basketball practice. You have to clear everyone out, reconfigure, reset. Two hours of setup time you don't have.
Tuesday evening: Graduation photos in the auditorium (which is also your cafeteria). Except the kitchen crew is still cleaning lunch.
The Accordion Door Solution
Tuesday morning: Full gym for assembly. 9 AM setup: done.
Tuesday afternoon: Deploy accordion doors. Gym becomes two spaces. Basketball court AND assembly overflow. Simultaneous events. Same room.
Tuesday evening: Close doors. Cafeteria setup continues undisturbed while gym hosts photo session.
